The EQ Synthetic Blocks are designed to sound like real wood blocks, while being able sustain harder mallets. These blocks are indestructible and will not crack! Blocks 1-6 and 7-8 are built to the same height for ease of maneuvering between blocks. All blocks can attach to the EQ Wood Block Rack System (sold separately) for ease of mounting multiple blocks.
"I'm so happy with sound and craftsmanship offered by the EQ Percussion Synthetic Blocks. Their unique design provides a clear tone and an ample sweet spot that not only rivals the finest concert wood blocks, but offers and indestructible playing surface as well. These instruments are perfect for any application from the concert hall to the marching field. Bravo!"

"I purchased a large EQ Synthetic Wood Block for the Penn State Percussion Department at PASIC last November. We used it on a recent performance of "Strange Loops" for percussion ensemble by Patrick Long, a piece which requires the conductor to play wood block very strongly for nearly the entire piece, about ten minutes. Being synthetic, I didn't have to worry about causing damage to the instrument, and I am pleased to say that the timbre and volume available were terrific! The "tone hole" concept really focuses the sound. I think these instruments are perfect for the institutional setting where great sound AND durability are of paramount concern."
